Sometimes choosing is difficult, so we offer gift cards of any denomination you wish. Ours are the traditional nice paper ones and are registered in our system, so if they are lost you are not out-of-pocket as with the modern plastic cards!

At Reid Jewellers we’re committed to give you the best possible quality service and value. We value the trust you’ve placed in us, and as a result of clients’ requests we’ve introduced our Gold Trade In Program! Here’s how our program works for you:
Selling your unused, unwanted or broken gold for cash yields you the least value for your gold. The buyer scraps the gold to a refiner and makes a large profit from that transaction.
By trading in your gold to us for a store credit, we can give you as much as 50% to 60% more, as you will be using the credit to make a purchase from us at some point. When we refine the gold it makes up the difference of your purchase….and we both win!
Your store credit may be used right away or saved for future use. You can use it all at once or in smaller amounts for any of our goods or services. It does not expire!
We professionally evaluate your gold to ensure that you receive accurate weighing and testing for the fairest possible treatment.
You have 10 days after the agreement to trade in case you change your mind and wish to have any or all of your goods returned to you.
Some points to remember:
In most cases it will be necessary to leave your goods with us for a short time so that we may examine, test and if required, clean the articles. Cleaning may result in a slight weight loss as accumulated dirt is removed.
Although there are few laws in Nova Scotia governing this type of transaction, we treat it as if there were, thus the attention to detail and documentation for the protection of all.
The value of gold fluctuates and the price we credit you will be based on that day’s gold price.
Any gemstones set in your jewellery will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. In some cases it may not be practical to salvage certain stones; in other instances your stones offer better value for you being reset into new jewellery.

At Reid Jewellers we want you to be more than satisfied with your jewellery or watch purchase! Please read our Return Policy so we may ensure your utmost satisfaction.
We will gladly exchange, credit or refund your merchandise within 10 business days of purchase (during November and December, this extends to 10 days after Christmas if the purchase is a Christmas or New Year's gift). Merchandise should be in new condition and with the original packaging and include all parts, coupons etc. Please retain your sales slip to avoid delays with your return. We have 'gift receipts' available at time of purchase; please ask if you wish to have one.
Please note: Wearing a watch or an item of jewellery even for a short time may mark or scratch the finish of the item and render it unreturnable. If the item is not suitable, please do not wear or use it; instead, put it back in its packaging and return it to us. We cannot sell previously worn items as new.
Defective items will be repaired or replaced at our option or according to the manufacturer's warranty. (Please read your warranty and see our warranty section for more information).
We regret that sale items discounted 25% or more, custom or special orders, altered (sized) and engraved items cannot be returned for exchange, credit or refund and are final sale.

ABOUT OUR WARRANTIES
At Reid Jewellers we proudly warranty our products to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a minimum period of 1 year from date of purchase. Many of our products are warranted for 2, 3, 5 or more years. Many of our diamond rings as well as gold and sterling jewellery also come with Lifetime Warranties against defects in material and workmanship! Your sales associate will fill in and explain your specific warranty for you at the time of purchase, and we register all warranties so there is nothing for you to send in. We DO NOT charge extra for any warranty we provide, as is often done in many stores.
If any repairs under warranty are required for any purchase from our store, please return the item to us with your papers and we will take care of it from there. Beginning with the actual repair and shipping and handling to following up on the item and dealing with the manufacturer, we do everything for you!
We briefly explain our warranties at time of purchase, but we strongly recommend that you read any warranty thoroughly to understand the terms and conditions. Warranties usually do not cover accident, abuse or misuse of the product and an understanding of the use and care of your jewellery or watch is very important for a lifetime of enjoyment and trouble-free wear.
